Your hosts, Robert and Kate are keen gardeners and are enjoying developing the 1½ acres of ground around the home, into a garden to be admired and enjoyed. They are developing a plant nursery, with plants for sale. This has evolved as a result of the need to propagate plants for their own use.
Robert lived for many years in Australia, as a younger man. He was born and brought up in the New Zealand south island, and enjoys being back. Kate is also a 'Kiwi' and has always lived in the South Island. Kate has traveled in the UK, and seen a little of Europe. Together Robert and Kate have recently traveled to Canada and the USA and Australia.
Robert and Kate were married at Larnach Castle in 2010. Larnach Castle is one of the "places to visit" when you come to Dunedin. They both have Grandchildren and enjoy special times with them.
They also have two small, well behaved dogs - Opal and Gem.
